Grain-Free Dog Cake Recipe: A Birthday Treat from Bounce and Bella

Why grain-free, you ask? Our beloved pets, like humans, thrive on a diet tailored to their needs. A lot of dogs face challenges in processing grains leading to skin problems and digestive troubles. That's where our recipe steps in to save the day!

Ingredients:

• 1 ripe banana – because who doesn’t love bananas?
• 3 tablespoons of peanut butter – make sure it’s xylitol-free, safety first!
• 1 egg – for that fluffy texture we all adore.
• ½ cup of coconut flour – keeping it grain-free and healthy.
• 1 teaspoon of baking powder – let’s get that rise.
• A splash of unsweetened almond milk – just enough to get the right consistency.

Instructions:

• Preheat your oven to a cozy 350°F (175°C) – it’s baking time!
• In a mixing bowl, mash that banana until it’s smooth. Add in the peanut butter and egg, and mix until you’ve got a nice, homogenous mixture.
• Sift in the coconut flour and baking powder, whisking away to avoid any lumps. Add a splash of almond milk if things are looking a bit too thick.
• Pour the batter into a cake pan thats been greased – a bone shaped one if you're, in the mood for some fun!
• Place it in the oven. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. It requires some patience. Believe me the final outcome is absolutely rewarding.
• Allow the cake to cool down before treating your companion to a slice. For an added touch of love consider topping it off with a dollop of peanut butter.
